Dessert and snacks at PMK Pudu

I was once on a ‘black food’ phase. It was one of those health food craze that I caught on years back.
The thing that stuck was my liking for black sesame. This superfood have been touted as having the ability to promote black hair and admittedly that was what got me started in the first place. Okay, I was eighteen, and very vain.
I like this superfood in all forms, especially black sesame paste (芝麻糊). This popular chinese dessert is quite labour intensive to make, so I prefer to just buy it.
PMK at Pudu serves a good variety of tong sui, kuih and snacks. The black sesame paste here has just the right consistency, not too gooey and not too sweet.
This place is great for a light meal and snacks. Few of my favorites are the steamed glutinous rice, Taiwanese bowl kuih, woon chai koh, a variety of nyonya kuih and of course, the black sesame paste.
