• Skyscrapers and crowded streets – Hong Kong

When I went through the photos of my whirlwind trip to Hong Kong, what struck me was they’re mostly aerial views. It’s Hong Kong, so what am I expecting, right? Where land is scarce and buildings are sky-high. And streets are crowded. (Hong Kong is the forth most highly-densed country in the world)

But I didn’t expect it to be this crowded on a typical weekday.

We stayed at W Hotel which is strategically located just above the MTR Kowloon station. Getting there from the airport is very convenient via the airport train which takes you to the mall, and the hotel is just a short walking distance away.

The rooms are spacious, by Hong Kong standards. I like the posh, modern interior and full height windows overlooking the gorgeous harbor view.

One small plus – the toiletries are from Bliss.

All in, Hong Kong was quite a trip. If I had more time, I’m sure my impression of Hong Kong would be more than just skyscrapers, crowded streets and one darn good minced pork rice.
