• Autumn in Kyoto

Spent a few days in Japan’s ancient capital recently. I’d seen pictures of Kyoto in vivid red foliage and just had to see it for real.

I never expected it to be so crowded. Yes, it was jam-packed with tourist (autumn and sakura season are peak in Kyoto).

Flea market in Kitano Tenmangu shrine, held every 25th of the month.

Frankly, these photos (taken with my phone & point-and-shoot camera) don’t do it justice.

Kyoto is incredibly gorgeous in fall. Sometimes, it felt almost unreal being in the midst of these vivid autumn hues.

As with all trips to Kyoto, I wouldn’t pass up a chance to go geisha-spotting.

Despite the crazy crowd, Kyoto is awesome, as always. And still is one of my favourite places on earth.
